Anyhow, if you still need to storage you fruits for quite a long period, you can freeze them even for one year. For good results, you can peel them and chunk them into big pieces and then put those pieces into freezer bags. This way, they will be safe in long-term storages. Veggies quality is also dependable on their manipulation and storage. When storing our vegetables, we must make sure that we classify them according to their type. For example, bigger veggies, known as “root vegetables” such as sweet potatoes and potatoes, must be kept in a cool, dark place. Other type of veggies must be kept in the refrigerator crisper drawer. Another good tip to keep vegetables at their point is to make sure they are completely dry before storing them. It is no good to wash them. Moreover, if you have kept vegetables in storage for too long and they start feeling moldy, it is better to throw them away. As in the case of fruits, when the decomposition process begins, the vegetables start producing toxics that can cause serious illnesses. A healthy alimentation implies a complete change in our lifestyle. Even the habits we are used to have when shopping, selecting, storing and serving food must change.
