Triathletes Swimming Hard, But Going Nowhere

Aston, PA (September 9, 2005) – With approximately 200 pools already installed in Wisconsin, Endless Pools, Inc., the inventor of the swimmer’s treadmill or counter-current swimming pool, will give Wisconsinites a chance to try the pool September 8 - 10 at Ironman Wisconsin Triathlon Expo in Madison. In addition, swimmers will receive a videotape of their swim and instruction from a trained coach.

“We are thrilled to be part of Ironman Wisconsin,” said James Murdock, founder and president of Endless Pools. “While a number of Wisconsin residents already own our pool, I want to give others a chance to learn firsthand why the Endless Pool is a great way for people of all abilities to stay in shape. It is especially useful in climates like Wisconsin where it is only possible to swim outdoors a few months a year.”

Measuring just 8'x15', the Endless Pool provides all the benefits of a full-size pool in a fraction of the space. It is compact enough to fit virtually anywhere, inside or out, making swimming year-round a possibility even in homes with limited space.

The Endless Pool has a smooth, adjustable, non-turbulent current, ideal for swimming, aquatic exercise and rehabilitation. The pool’s unique features include underwater cameras and full-length mirrors that allow a swimmer to see their stroke. The immediate performance feedback these options provide make the Endless Pool an important training tool.
The Endless Pool has been great for my whole family,” said Paul Miller, a Wisconsin resident, triathlete and Endless Pool owner. “I use it to train for triathlons; I find it is the ideal training environment as the current and lack of flip turns more closely simulates open water swims. The rest of my family uses it for general fitness and relaxation.”
Endless Pools, Inc., headquartered in Aston, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, was founded in 1988 by James Murdock to manufacture and sell counter-current swimming pools for residential and commercial use. Over the last fifteen years, more than 8,000 Endless Pools have been sold and installed in the United States and 50 countries.
