Swim for Miles in Your Backyard Pool Without Moving an Inch

Aston, PA (PRWEB) September 9, 2005 -- With the nation increasingly focused on health and fitness, Endless Pools, Inc., the leader in counter-current swimming machines, is bringing its innovative technology to the backyard pool. The Fastlane, an over the wall swim current generator, will turn a once underutilized backyard pool into a place for serious exercise. From September 8 – 10, the Fastlane will be available for test swims at the Marriott Harbor Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale.

"Over the years of manufacturing and selling Endless Pools, I have talked with many people frustrated that their backyard pools are too small for lap swimming," said James Murdock, founder and president of Endless Pools. "These pools are normally only used as a place to cool off and entertain, however with the Fastlane, a press of a button will convert them into beneficial fitness tools. I am thrilled to have a Fastlane setup in Fort Lauderdale so that Floridians will have a chance to try it locally."

"Before the Fastlane, my pool was more like an oversized bathtub, and I hardly used it," stated Dean Warhaft, a Miami, FL resident and Fastlane owner. "Now, I am in the pool 4-6 days per week."

The Fastlane, similar to a treadmill for swimmers, is a swimming machine that easily installs into virtually any swimming pool. Its smooth, non-turbulent current is fully adjustable making it ideal for swimming, aquatic exercise and rehabilitation. The current’s highest speed challenges the best competitive swimmer, yet it can easily be adjusted to suit the beginner and everyone in between.

"As an accomplished marathon runner, I am always looking for an effective cross training activity," stated Susan Meier, a Florida resident and Fastlane owner. "Swimming has always appealed to me, but I hate fighting the crowds at the gym and swimming laps is tedious. Now, with the Fastlane, I can swim whenever I want for as long as I want without a single flip turn. I now swim almost everyday and it's even had a positive effect on my endurance when I'm running."

Endless Pools, Inc., headquartered in Aston, PA, a suburb of Philadelphia, was founded in 1988 by James Murdock to manufacture and sell counter-current swimming machines for residential and commercial use. Over the last fifteen years, more than 8,000 Endless Pools have been sold in the United States and over 50 countries.
