Guilt and Judgment- Parents Rejoice Possible Causes of Mental Health Disorders

Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) July 18, 2005-Parents Day is a reminder that blaming our Mothers and Fathers doesn't improve anyone's mental health. And self esteem is not improved by criticizing, labeling or drugging the children. According to licensed psychologist, Dr. Doris Jeanette, judgment and guilt create massive amounts of anxiety and depression in human beings. Anxiety and depression then lead to misery, poor performance and mental illness.

An innovative human resource that works to improve the parent child relationship by teaching people how to give up their judgments and guilt is the Center for the New Psychology. The Center offers mental health services that include relaxation tools, mind body information, emotional exercises that help people achieve natural health and wellness.

After thirty years of clinical practice, Dr. Jeanette observes that “Guilt is the worst experience known to humans. The energy of guilt ties us up in knots and makes us feel unworthy and miserable. Guilt is the opposite of Love. Parents and children learn to give up judgment and guilt, replacing these unhealthy mental states with real emotional love.”

Psychologically "feeling guilty" is a conditioned response, not an authentic feeling. A child does not feel guilt until someone tells her that she is “wrong.” In other words, she learns to feel bad and thus guilty when someone judges her. The Center's mental health services helps each person find and use the skills, talents and natural health and wellness that are in their human body and human heart.

“Improving our relationships means starting and ending with how we relate to our parents,” says Dr. Jeanette. "A Natural Process for Opening the Heart," available as tapes, CD’s or written transcripts, teaches people how to reduce judgment and eliminate guilt so that they become more loving and improve all relationships.

The Holistic Health Center for the New Psychology based in Philadelphia offers monthly mental health services, holistic mental health teleseminars, anxiety groups, depression groups and nature workshops teaching people how to achieve natural health and wellness so they can enjoy life.
